Hey all guess what! I got ANOTHER RAISE :D so I'm now making 9$ an hour lol :D my boss even said that she trusts me more than someone who's been there longer than her!!! :D so I got 2 raises in about a month lol But yes I am still stressed beyond belief that I'm taking like an herbal anti deppresant meh. But last night I had a "party" get together thing, now that was FUN lol but I didn't get a lot of sleep again. Dang stress is killin' me lol oh well. Well i'm gonna get going so I'll ttyal!

(to the site readers: I warn you of spoilers!! especially to those who haven't seen the FY Eikoden yet but I assume you all watched it somehow.. -ahem- back to Hotohori-sama)

I just watched the Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden again for the nth time and I must say I was once again touched when you and your family were reunited. I'm really a sucker for dad and family scenes that's why in the 2nd OVA I cried when you were able to hold little Boushin through Tamahome-I mean Taka. You must be really happy when all of you are together and you truly deserve to be with your family again.

Well your highness, I'm sorry if I'm telling you my review of the FY Eikoden but please give my praise for the Empress Houki because she did an excellent job in the story for being a patient, gentle, caring and understanding mother to Boushin and adviser to Mayo. I really liked her and I'm glad they finally gave a great importance to her character. But then, sire, we're you offended when Mayo told some hurtful things to Boushin about your relationship with the Empress?

I'm really glad i could finally say this to you Hotohori-sama and I wish more hapiness to you and your family.

Hello, minna-san.

First, I'd like to thank Nuriko for the advice he gave me concerning how to dress. I'm trying to put it into practice. My older cousin and my next door neighbour whom I became acquainted with have been helping me out by handing down some of their old clothes that would look good on me yet still suit me...

Okay, I seem to be a girl with a few problems that I'd like for all of you to give your views on... and no, I'm not kidding around.

I am afraid of going to school due to always being bullied harshly back when I was a student. A crafted a ceramic model that I was proud of, but the majority of my classmates destroyed it on me. After that, I decided to quit giving my all. Boys often harrassed me about my mother's passing, always saying things like "My mother makes the best cookies" and even whining "Mummy..." every so often because they knew it upset me. But, the worst was a girl who said she was my friend but only used me for my singing. I was forced to go to school when I was sick, and when she asked me to sing, I told her I wasn't well enough to, so she said that she hated me and wished I was dead. She meant it too, she tried to kill me herself... I tried to attend school after that, but I always became too anxious and left.

My mother's passing has been very hard for me to cope with, it has been nearly 12 years since she passed away, but the pain is as strong as if it was yesterday, or even just this morning. One day, I was visiting my friend's mother in the hospital after she'd had surgery and when I saw her hooked up to the machines, I froze and found myself in a flashback of the night my mother died. I was in shock and then two days later, I burst and couldn't stop crying for at least an hour.

I keep trying to motivate myself to get a job, but unfortunately, every time I am near having one, I find myself... well, the way I'd explain it is the way it hit me in a dream one night. I was trapped in a very deep hole and a rope was sent down to me. The pit resembled a "rut" I was stuck in and the rope was the job opportunity. As I climbed the rope halfway, it snapped and I fell back into the bottom of the pit. That was when I found myself becoming too anxious concerning the job and found myself leaving after missing too many days due to being ill from stress.

My health isn't best either, physically and mentally. I was diagnosed with anaemia, but don't worry, I'm fixing that with a healthier diet. I was also diagnosed with depression after a teacher of mine suggested I see someone for help after my dog had died. I couldn't stop crying. It was especially hard the day after my friend's birthday, a few months after she died... I was even suicidal that night, but I stopped myself by thinking about my loved ones and how I'd inflict the same pain I was feeling if I were to follow through. It happened three more times in the six years that she has been gone.

I have a tendency to panic easily in many situations. My brother was really sick earlier this year and I became overwhelmed with negative thoughts. Then, there was my grandfather's cancer scare. I was frightened I'd lose him that way too, that was how I lost my mother, grandmother and a couple of family friends. Even when I thought something was really wrong with me, I went to the hospital right away because there wasn't anybody to tell me otherwise.

People keep telling me to grow up, but I was happier as a kid, I feel more secure being more like a child. Is that really so wrong? Or is there something wrong with me?

I am in love with someone, but there is a problem... that someone can't love me back because he's not real, he's a fictional character. I know that, but he's the ideal guy for me. He's not the type of guy I am afraid of. After one man did something to me, I became wary of most males. In fact, after that incident, I couldn't even hug my own father! No man can ever tell me I'm cute or beautiful without me becoming wary of them... because that man used those words to lure me in...

People keep telling me I look so much like my mother, and I saw they were speaking truth. But, are they seeing Mum when they look at me, or are they seeing me? I often feel saddened when they say that and stay quiet for a good twenty minutes, if I can't suddenly excuse myself from them.

Like I said, I have a lot of problems. Please... please give me some good advice as to deal with these problems... please, all of you.

Hey guys! How are ya? :) I have awoken to a pretty little Sunday morning, so let me tell you what happened thus far this weekend:

First off, the Halloween party. Unlike I used to, I actually had a total blast! When I arrived at school, everyone was... well, they were gawking. ^_^;; I guess my get-up and hairdo were pretty good that evening (I don't wear ponytails much anymore 'cause of my layered hair, so I guess they were pleased with the effect, or even the reprieve). I had a right little headache that morning (which got better when I took my practical exam in Computer. No, really!), and I was on the verge of fever when I arrived, but I got better before the party began. Upon starting the party, we played "Trip to Jerusalem" with a pairs twist--you know, the one where you had to let your partner sit on you and vice versa, back-to-back and then as if you were married? *sigh* I frequently bug a teacher whom I fondly call Protagonist ('cause he just as fondly calls me Antagonist... his personal antagonist, anyway), so he forced me to enter the contest. Yeah, basically, it was vengeance. XD

We played "Bring Me" next, and I won a clip-bookmark after bringing my Computer teacher's right shoe to the host (our Grammar teacher). Ben-sensei couldn't remove his sneakers fast enough, though, so I literally had him hop to Minerva-sensei whilst I held his right leg aloft. Then there was a Face of the Night award, won by a boy from our class and a girl from another, then everything about dance--a dance party, contest and intermission number. There were bands too--the last one was dominated by three faculty members. At first, they were playing 70s' songs, then they started to go modern, singing "Umbrella", "Low", "Clumsy", and "Lips of an Angel", among other albeit less modern songs. I probably was the last kid to go home because Mom fell asleep when I informed her when I would be going home. But it all made for a fun night with my friends before semestral break.

However, I was informed by my taekwondo coach that three students will be leaving after finishing a month's worth of training. I was pretty upset, I didn't want to be the school's innocent little Universal Laughingstock again. And besides, I felt sorry for my coach. But then again, I DID have a dream recently about the team expanding... I really hope it does.

Gotta go, guys! And that's for three reasons: 1) my letter's lengthening again; 2) I ran out of stuff to say, and; 3) I haven't had breakfast yet. ^_^ Bye and take care, all!

*sighs; slumps on desk* Y'know, I've been having terrible bouts of writer's block lately, particularly with "Mirrors of the Heart" and "Beyond the Reach of Faith", the latter of which makes my writer's block upsetting... I absolutely LOVE the plot concept! It's actually the fic of mine which deals greatly with Shugyoku Den. I'm happy with my other fic, though, which is called "Love Eternity". And if I've mentioned it before, it's not the same fic--same title, new plot, different cast. It's a twist of OVA 2--in this fic, you get to keep your memories, but Miaka and everyone else who knew about the book has forgotten everything. It's growing rather fast compared to how my other fics started out. ^_^ But I'll try to work it out.

Hey guys! Major update again, huh? Missed ya, anyway! *does that hug thing again... you're gonna be in business again, Mitsukake!*

Soooo, back to little Ki-chan. We found out that her dad is a dalmatian, making her a half-breed (her mom's unbred, or something like that), and I'm so pleased about it. ^_^ Um, yeah, just out of curiosity, what's your favorite dog breed? I like shih tzus and golden labradors... and speaking of dog breeds, I drew a picture of a dalmatian for Science class two years ago, and drawing though he is, I gave him a name: "Demon". And I wrote his name in kanji. ^_~

Now, fast forward to the recent present. I FINALLY got to finish and therefore pass my King Arthur book report. Thank God. I don't ever wanna hear anything about that stupid Round Table again, it drove my head nuts. Anyway, we did a puppet show in class last Monday using my old collection of Barbie dolls (it's an OLD collection, 'kay? But I'll be returning to that collection during semestral break, just for something to do...), and it turned out horribly. Most of the puppeteers weren't speaking loudly enough, AND they weren't moving their puppets while speaking. However, the teachers didn't find the other two groups so hot either... but lucky me, I get a lot of credit for being the scriptwriter AND propsmaster AND puppeteer. ^_^

Then, yesterday marked the beginning of our finals. I got a perfect score in Values Ed (my philosophy: be all goody goody in this subject and you pass. XD Just kidding), a great score in Social Studies, and six mistakes in Math. >_< I don't think I've ever perfected any Math exam in human history... but it's okay. -o- I, however, turned into a total poet and wrote ridiculously long essays for Social Studies, Values Ed and Literature; hence my candidacy in the essay-writing contest. We had, from today 'til today, had Values Ed, Math, Social Studies, Literature, Science and Computer... the last one not having been supposed to be taken until tomorrow. But I do feel that I did okay for only ten minutes' worth of studying... happy, happy.

Tomorrow, we'll be taking the finals for Grammar and Filipino, then it's aallll over. The day after will be the Halloween Party, my attendance in which has not yet been decided. But Mom says I can attend if I want to; the only reason I'm doubting my attendance in the party anyway is because Mom's sched might not mesh with the party's. Ah well... either way, after that is a week-long semestral break! ^_^ Perfect time to get rid of writer's and songwriter's block... bye!

And, by the way... congrats to Shirayuki-san for the being awarded First Honors (haven't I heard somewhere that you ALWAYS get this spot?) and for the choral recitation! Good luck with the slideshow! Mira-chan is waiting...

So first of all, I hope everything's fine over there at Konan, and also over at CnA-san's (I say Tasuki should learn to control his flames, no?) And glad to know that her exams are also over! (Our second periodical exams were done for since yesterday. More about that later.) I sure missed you guys lots! *hugz* (Haha, sorry for wrong grammar... XD)

Well, so stopping at the Linggo ng Wika celebration (which I believe SuzakuAngel-san mentioned in her letters earlier.. Speaking of which, congratz on winning, SuzakuAngel-san!)... IV-St. Mark got 1st place, we (the one and only III-St. Mark) got 2nd, and IV-St. Luke got 3rd place. So basically... we LOST. It was just a matter of costumes-- 4-Mark made use of super-creative native costumes, while we, out of lack of time, had to make do with plain white shirts and plain jeans (with some exceptions, myself included). But one of the judges said that we were still better in delivering the assigned piece, so we didn't feel bad. Especially the dove thing, it was so cool! (I was the one who thought of that.. *slaps herself* Haha, modesty is still the best policy, noh...)

Yeah, so that's how the 'memorizations', as you called it, went. And CAT- 'exercises'?! That's a complete understatement!! At least, I think that marching for more than half-hour is NOT exercise for me. It's divine punishment. Well, I have myself to blame for that, because after all the mumbling, grumbling, complaining, and deciding, I decided to join COLT (cadet officers' leadership training.. or that's what I think it means.).. And yeah, first quarter was okay for me as well, except for chemistry and geometry. (I can't even believe that I'm not doing good in the subjects I have read in advance for! What an irony...) I still got first honor, but my overall grade went down to some 87 point something... As for the second quarter, I'm beginning to cope with geometry, but still no luck for chemistry... But on the other hand, I am to blame again, because I went online more often than I should. I wouldn't be surprised if I drop down to second or even third honor this quarter (Thank God and Suzaku if this doesn't happen)... Which reminds me, in light of my study problem, I made up an oath:

"I, Sode no Shirayuki, hereby promise to wholeheartedly and enthusiastically keep my mind in my studies, for which my loving parents have sacrificed greatly on my behalf. I promise to keep my full concentration and dedication to whatever schoolwork I may have, be it academic or extracurricular. And lastly, I promise to try my best in all that I do, and will not let any distraction stop me from attaining my goals in life."

So how does that sound? I know I have to give up a lot of things to keep my 'oath' (which includes going online and coming here.. T^T ), but it's worth it, right?

Now onto the random things: I've been watching FY again on our DVD player, and I'm starting to get 'nosebleeds' during the MiTama scenes, and 'double nosebleeds' in Hotohori scenes.. (I mean like, I'll just shout 'NOSEBLEED!!!' like Sunako Nakahara from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge- Filipino dub version... *sweatdrop* Am I nuts or what??) And thus, a picture slideshow for Miaka-san and Tamahome-san with the song "Beautiful in My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison is currently in the works.. It's such a sweet song... ^_^

And lastly, today is... the Parish Fiesta!! Yes, today, October 19, 2008, is the parish fiesta of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Binondo Chinese Parish! Yesterday was the last day of the novena masses, and I recorded part of it for uploading so you can watch. I just wanted to add a little something I completely forgot to mention last night: we have a puppy! Yay! Her name's Kiara, and she's about 3 months old. See, our neighbors have a dog and several puppies, one of whom was Ki-chan. One day, Joy-neechan found her at the gate, and when she went to return Ki-chan, the owners gladly told us we can have her. When she first came here, she was pretty... underdeveloped. Although she was the first one to be born among the litter, she was smaller than her siblings, and all she did was SLEEP. Now, however, after having her for a couple of weeks, Ki-chan's grown bigger and she doesn't sleep as much anymore. She seems to us like a cross between a street dog and a pit bull or a dalmatian, but I'd much prefer that she be a dalmatian, I don't like pit bulls much. She's really playful and sleeps with weird positions... and the list goes on and on. But she's really cute

It's been so long, and I missed ya! *hugs everyone until the second false rib from the bottom of the left rib cage of each Seishi has a fracture at least 0.03 inches deep, shaped like Harry Potter's lightning-bolt scar and is located 0.28 inches to the left of the sternum... hehe, I couldn't resist doing that XD* Before I proceed with my random blabbering, lemme just say this: hope that the papers and the exams went well (my own exams are coming next week), congratulations on getting the house, and I hope you're all okay from the fire. Now, here we go...

'Kay, so picking up from the beginning of the second quarter... well, like I said, our class won the choral recitation. We got a grade of 92 from our Filipino teacher and were all exempted from the PEHM midterms, so all we really did was play badminton and such during PE.

The promotion of taekwondo in the school had already started by then (I'm not gonna react yet...), and it garnered rather positive reactions from the students. I was really pleased, until some initially-excited students began to drop out due to scheduling conflicts (who do you expect to show up on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 4-5 PM?), the expense, and senseless safety reasons (better to be hurt from learning self-defense than to get hurt because of lack of self-defense training, right?). But in the end, it paid off (we've got six students, myself included! Not bad, not bad!) and the sched has been moved to Saturdays, 2-4 (Now I'll react. YAY!). And last week, we did 400 kicks, 20 push-ups and 20 sit-ups (and I didn't hurt myself! Just like I promised, Tamahome!), and my muscles felt kinda regenerated or something of that sort. ^_^;;

Going back to the previous letters (particularly the one about Titanic)--Mom and I scouted through dozens of video shops to find the four-disc collector's edition, but no luck. I initially wrote it on the Christmas wishlist for the gift-giving thingy in class, but removed it from the list because I wouldn't expect anyone to find it (I DID include the FY artbook and OVA discs, though... Mom would NEVER buy them for me), but right now, Mom and I have taken on a regular habit of quoting Titanic characters and I thought up this weird fanfic to distract me from my pity for Cal (it's called "All You had to do was Ask", and I'm still thinking of whether I should publish it or not... see, I felt so sorry for Cal after seeing the extended Carpathia sequence that I had to do this. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Rose decides to walk down the aisle with Cal, but declines at the last minute and pulls out a heart-wrenching string of reasons as to why she wouldn't marry Cal... and gets an unexpected response. ^_^).

Now, fast forward to recent stuff. My self-esteem hit rock-bottom a couple of times because these annoying guys from the third and fourth year of high school kept (they still do) calling me a show-off and a know-it-all. I cried twice in one week and even considered dropping out of the school's quiz bee (more later). I was thinking, "After all, these guys are graduating, so I'll let them laugh while they still can", but now I wanna laugh at myself for thinking such. My Grammar teacher (also an avid fan of FY... heehee) defended me this morning and stated that the same thing happened to her during childhood, so I felt happy that she stuck up with me.

Well, now on to the quiz bee. I was chosen to represent the class in Math and General Info, along with a total of seven classmates of mine in the same categories plus Science. Right at the first question during Math, I made a mistake, and I saw a whiteboard from the back saying "Loser!". I could swear it was meant for me. I merely laughed, and by the time that the Difficult round began, I was in the lead. Ultimately, I won Math, and then I was thinking "Who's the loser now?" Kinda mean, I know, but vindication felt so good. I also won General Info, getting the lead in the Difficult round as well (by one question in said round! Thank God! I didn't wanna have to go on the tie-breaking round!), and as Lilian had also won in Science, our class had nailed all three categories against the second year class. Whoop-dee-doo!

This coming November, three major stuff are gonna be happening: the UN (omG, anniversary coming up for the day I first sang Itooshi Hito no Tame Ni in public!), the field trip, and English week. Although I won't be the class muse for the UN, I'm an asset. See, our muse is supposed to represent India, and my godmother is an expert on everything Indian (she's obsessed, actually). And then we'll be doing a little dance. This field trip will mark my first without a chaperone, so my randomness might kill on that day. As for English week, I'll be participating in Spelling, Essay-writing, and Extemporaneous Speech-making. When I was chosen for the third contest, my classmates remarked "Nice Janina... again and again", and I felt so flattered when my teacher said "Sorry, class, she's that good." I don't mean to be boasting or anything, but I really really need something to boost my morale at this moment. (Y'know, the self-esteem nosedive thing.)

So... I gotta go! I've got a book report (ARGH! I HATE King Arthur!), a long quiz, and a puppet show to prepare for... all due on Monday. Bye-bye! Thanks for the time, guys! *hugs everyone until the second false rib... well, you get the drill*

*whew!* I'm back from four hours of celebrating the Filipinos' highly-esteemed language. So lemme give you a briefing on what happened (briefing... LOL, no pun intended, you guys).

So I got to the venue an hour early. It was so deathly quiet that it was rather... strange. Anyway, we lounged around for thirty minutes and did some last-minute rehearsing for our intermission numbers and choral recitations, running around in native garb and black tights (I was supposed to wear a sequined black leotard for the dance, but instead I wore my sister's sequined black ice skating dress... heehee!). I was a bit worried 'cause I forgot some of my stuff, but it all worked out well. ^_^

I practically cut the opening ribbon of the program, 'cause I led the opening prayer (in Filipino! Everyone who knows me at school knows me as the girl whose invernacular tongue makes everyone's nose bleed... or something along those lines, anyway), and then minutes into the program, I did the intermission dance with my pals (Lilian, Lorraine and Haruka), with me being the most... um, haughty-looking? Yeah, that's it. Well, the dance was as good as it could get, and I was really happy with it.

And then, near the end of the program, my classmates and I performed the in the choral recitation contest--and won!-- as the least fancy class. No meticulous props, no extravagant attire--all we had were the native clothes off our backs, some abaca platters (called bilao) and sticks of bamboo. One class was even dressed in foreign attire and had a little musical accompaniment! But I guess that's what made us win--our simple elegance and authenticity. The victory was so overwhelming that I cried--alone.

What a great day. God bless us all!

First off, I would like to say thank you for your support. ^_^

I have some very good news, though. I found out why I didn't make callbacks.

...I didn't need them. I won the contest, and apparently pretty decisively (the judges were judging within earshot of me, and they were like "there's no question about it -- we've gotta go with this one"), so I got the role. Sorry for jumping the gun ^_^;; I guess sometimes, I tend to jump to conclusions too quickly.

So far, my search for schools that teach more than the basic-level Japanese has come up empty, at least within an hour's driving distance. However, that is a good point -- maybe there might be some students at those schools that are native Japanese speakers and might want to do a language exchange. All I've gotta do is figure out how I would go about asking about something like that, since I already graduated college (incidentally, with a degree in Japanese), and so I'm not currently enrolled in school. Hopefully, it'll all go according to keikaku (plan). At least classes are in session now, so whoever I need to contact should be there.

However, at least the voice acting thing is starting to look up, and I guess...it's amazing what can happen in just a few short days. Again, sorry for being so down on myself all the time; I've gotta work on that ^_^;; but yeah, I just thought I'd let you guys know that it ended up all working out okay.
