Week Ending April 29, 2008

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Though they're just trying to help, I'm in a sticky situation. I don't know if you're gonna even print this because of what it's about but it's worth a shot because this is really a tough one.

Here's what's going on. Some people like my parents and one of my friends who is close to my parents are trying get me a girlfriend, even trying to find people to set me up with, but there's one problem. Not only do I not swing that way... but I have a boyfriend who I've had for over 2 years that I don't want them to know about cuz one, most parents don't want to find out their son is like that and two, my parents don't like gay people, and say bad things about them alot, and I love him so much and don't want to leave him. I don't wanna do something to make them know about me, of course I don't want to come out to them, and I can't tell my friend either cuz she'd maybe tell my parents. I'm starting to run out of excuses to use for why I don't want a girlfriend, and leaving the man I love cuz they want me to have a girlfriend is something I don't wanna do. If they set me up with a girl, how do I get out of it without making it look like a setup? How do I keep them from knowing about me? Cuz I don't want them to know and don't want to pretend to love someone who I am not in love with so my parents don't find out.

Yaoi Boy

Dear Yaoi Boy,

I'm quite torn on this one. On the one hand I think you should come out and be yourself and on the other I do understand your reluctance to tell your parents. So I am going to give you advice based on both situations.

Situations like these are never easy. For one you honor your mother and father, which is admirable and two, your love for your partner is equally strong. But this is 2008, its time to take the step out of the closet and tell them. Yes, I know they're not tolerant to homosexuals but regardless they're your parents; they should understand. Open up to them, tell them what your heart and your mind are saying.

You're gay, be proud... don't be secluded. Being closeted can lead up to frustrating and overall nervisousness when dealing with your parents. There's enough lonliness and anger in the world; don't let your misery of this predicament be another brick in a world of bitterness. I know it will be a harsh pill for your parents to swallow but educate them on this. Just explain that you're their son and you've found someone. The main thing is to tell them your buddying preference. You like men, nothing wrong with that.

As for the friends and family setting you up on dates, its time to nip that in the bud and tell them as well. If they still insist, just be kind and thoughtful to her feelings and tell her... you'll make a new friend, perhaps an ally in your corner.

The main thing is be yourself. Be proud of who you are. Walk tall that you're gay, don't make it feel dirty. Remember, LOVE is spelled with the same four letters regardless of sexual preference.

If you choose not to tell them at this time, then you will need to be prepared to fend off their fixing you up. You may just have to capitulate to their wishes and go out with someone and just let her know the truth. As I said above you could make a new friend/ally out of her. If you have friends that you can trust, you should try coming out to them as they may be able to help you with the dating issue as well as be a support system to you if you ever do decide to come out to your parents.

I wanted to add some websites that you may find helpful in helping you to decide what to do. http://www.outproud.org/brochure_coming_out.html, http://www.psychpage.com/learning/library/gay/outparents.html, http://www.4therapy.com/consumer/life_topics/article/5532/441/Coming+Out+to+Your+Parents, http://www.sexualityandu.ca/teens/orientation-2.aspx, http://www.teenwire.com/infocus/2004/if-20040720p305-out.php.

Good luck. *Gives him a hug.*

Nuriko

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Konbanwa!! I'm so hyper today! Though I came home late from another of our out-of-town trips, I'm still surfing online!

Right Brain: I'm so tired, lemme sleep...

Left Brain: I'm still functional! Lemme at the net!

*sweatdrops* Uh... just don't mind my brain system, it's dysfunctional anyway..

So anyways I joined this FY group in Friendster (because I found it?? anyways it's called The Fushigi Yuugi Home Club) and I'm trying to find a Bleach group, a SaiMono group, and, well, any other anime group!! Any ideas, people?

Right Brain: You know they don't have a Friendster account, so why tell them? *yawns*

Left Brain: I'm just telling them! So what?

O-okay, so I'm getting a headache here.. *To Right Brain* Okay RB I'm going to sleep now, as you wish.

Left Brain: Demo-!!

I'm pretty tired from the trip, LB, so let me sleep this time. *To Seishi* Oyasumi, minna.. -_-

Sode no Shirayuki

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

We don't know about groups on Friendster, but perhaps some of our other fans do. Anybody care to help her minna?

Chiriko

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Whee! *stretches* Good morning!

*inhales* Ah, Sunday. Today is a REALLY good day for me! I'm featured in a section of one of the country's BIGGEST papers (the Philippine Daily Inquirer) for answering a survey of how to beat the summer heat, AND today marks the beginning of my summer taekwondo lessons with Mom! Yay!

Wish me luck!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. One of our neighbors our instructor, and the instructor is connected to my Mom's bestie, so basically they came over last night. They heard me doing 45's in the kitchen, and then they suggested to teach the basics (which I DO know, with my taekwondo background in 4th Grade), and... I sorta impressed them with what skills I have... heehee. ^_^

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Congratulations for making the news! We hope you kept it. Good luck with your lessons!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

*Laughs nervously* I don't have many picture of me, ne? How's the kitty cat in my primary picture, eh? *Mokona laughs from outside* Mokona's the one who put it, of course but it appears, I like it :) Well, maybe you saw the other pictures of my classmates and friends like Mitsumi, etc. Well, it's night at my place and I'm getting sleepy. So, Good night.

Akane

Dear Akane,

The cat is interesting... and you certainly don't have many pictures of yourself posted. *Smiles*

Hotohori

Dear Tamahome,

Okay, um, sorry for this, I know it's late and all, and I have a bad habit of sending lots of follow-up letters, but I just needed to get this out.

I feel a little sad about the way my second fic is going. I didn't READ the entire last chapter of your Gaiden ('cause the part where I stopped is the part I which thought was the end of it... you see, I read it off the Internet), which is what I'm kind of focusnig on now (yay plot twists!), and I have to do a little AU/AR to accommodate my plot. And I'm a bit annoyed with myself for it. Sorry too for messing your memoir up... *pouts*

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

That's ok. You probably aren't the first and I'm certain you won't be the last.

Tamahome

Dear Tamahome,

Hi! ^_^ *sets down a tray with a cup of coffee and pots of milk and sugar* Since you've never had any coffee, I needed to do this. You see, in my fic, you DO drink coffee, and this thing takes place in 2012, so... go ahead. Just add in some milk and sugar if you don't like it so strong. Enjoy your cuppa...

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Arigato, I'm happy to try it! *Makes himself a cup of coffee.* Not bad...

Tamahome

Dear Nuriko,

Hi Nuriko! Can you please answer these questions?

**How old are you?
**What is/are your favorite colors?
**When is your birthday?
**What is your real name?

Hope you can answer my questions!

Kawaii Koneko

Dear Kawaii Koneko,

I'm 18, my favorite color is purple, my birthday is 3/10, and my real name is Chou Ryuuen .

Nuriko

Dear Nuriko,

Hi Nuriko! ^_^ Did you know that you're the highest-rated male character on Excelsis' Best-Looking [Anime] Male? But don't tell Tamahome that, 'cause I previously thought it was him... and don't tell Hotohori-sama either. That'll break his heart. XD

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

I am? *Looks pleased.* Don't worry, I won't tell them. *Smiles*

Nuriko

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Ohh, BTW, have you ever seen these stuff??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RgL2MKfWTo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvzfjPQ0WiE.

They are so cool and hilarious... but neither were posted by me. ^_^ And speaking of which, I have a video surprise for one of you... watch out for it!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. In the second video, the guy DOES sound a bit like Jackson-san when he speaks, right? XD

Dear SuzakuAngel,

They were just... bizarre...

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Gooooood day! ^_^ So, yeah... I haven't really talked to Mom yet about my sibs, I don't want it to get TOO personal, and that's why I'm talking to someone unrelated to all three of us (me, Onee-chan and Onii-chan). You guys really are great help. And, yes, aside from all the other things that do so, you guys DO make my day. *hugs*

*smiles and spreads world peace and cookies* Baiii!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. To Akane-san: Do itashimashite. =3

P.P.S. You're totally right, Tamahome. Mom IS cool. ^_~

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Arigato! We're glad to be of service. Well, if you can't settle this with your siblings, you may have to talk to your mother. Good luck!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

*chuckles* I won't, I won't ^^ Everyone at work spoils me because of the lil one on the way. Kanji puts his ear against my belly every time I walk in the door. He can't wait to be a big brother ^^ Makes me very happy seeing that.

Glad to hear that you're all doing well and I'm glad to hear that CnA got all of her midterms and what not done ^^ hope you score well on all of them.

Let's see... Anything else new... I want ice cream... *looks into the kitchen at the fridge...* Yeah I don't want to get up... Well, must get some work done, ttyl

Naomi

Dear Naomi,

We are all well, too. She did quite well and is happy with her grades. She's hoping to get all A's this semester. Please take care.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Chichiri,

She doesn't know how I feel about her, but she does know we're very close. And this is an internet relationship, but we do talk on the phone a lot and we're going to meet in a public place. I still need to talk to my mom, which I will do tomorrow at lunch. She knows Hime wants to come down here.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

Well then, I would say that both you and yorr mother need to meet her in a public place and confirm that she is who she says she is. After that, it will be up to your mother, no da.

Chichiri

Dear Tasuki,

Last one there pays! *sprints off*

Suiren

Dear Suiren,

*Runs to catch up to her.*

Tasuki

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Hi minna-san! I'm back from an out-of-town trip to Batangas! Ahh, it's really good to be back here at Manila (yay for civilization!). Well, it's not like the place we went to was horrible; it was perfect, really! My little brother and I went with my cousin and her parents (namely our aunt and uncle) on a road trip on Sunday to Canyon Woods. Then the next afternoon, we checked in at this really nice hotel, and later, we swam at the beach up to 6 pm! (We saw the sunset that evening, too.) After that we left the beach and hit the pool up to 9 pm. Luckily, the water was warm so we didn't catch cold. We're also lucky we chose to go to the beach at late afternoon, or we might have gotten sunburned. (My brother and sister once went to a resort last summer and got sunburned! I had a church duty that time so I couldn't go with them, but I'm so lucky, don't you think?) We were supposed to return from our trip today, but my aunt had an emergency with one of her patients and we had to come back yesterday. But even so, it was still worth it.

Well, that's that for the trip. And.. ah, yes! Have you guys gone on any outings before? (Excluding your quests with Miaka-san.) If you have, can you tell me all about it? I'd love to hear from you once in a while! *poses to listen*

Sode no Shirayuki

P.S. So anyways, to SuzakuAngel-san, I was getting confused already because we're sending lots of messages to each other via this website. Actually nahihilo na nga ako sa kagagamit ng P.S. eh, at saka nakakahiya naman sa ibang nagbabasa.. For me, at least. What about you?.. So anyways, I was thinking of some other way to reply to all of them in a single message, and maybe for future ones. Any ideas? (Hehe I hope you won't get angry at me for saying this. ^_-)

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

Welcome back! We're glad you had a nice time. We have traveled through Konan but nothing that was truly noteworthy.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

Ohayo, onii-sama!! *half-skips to room, then skids to a stop* Uwaa, so you're wearing it already! I thought you didn't notice my gift because I only set it beside you while you were sleeping. Wow, just as I thought; it really suits you well. *admires him as he sparkles*

Mou, actually I thought of buying a red one at first because Konan's color is red and I always see you in red clothes, but then I had second thoughts because you're a guy and maybe you don't like red and are only wearing such clothes because of your status as emperor. Well, in the end, I still ended up buying the blue one...

So, do you like it, onii-sama? *grins as she waits for reply*

Sode no Shirayuki

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

I do like it. *Smiles* Arigato!

Hotohori

Dear Hotohori,

Hi...

Ila

Dear Ila,

Hi. How are you?

Hotohori

Dear Hotohori,

hotohori can i ask you something .who is the one the EMPRESS

Hotohori

Dear Chichiri,

Dear liezel,

I live in Konan, no da.

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

liezel

Dear liezel,

If I understand your question you are asking how two priestesses can be summoned at the same time. I don't know how or why except that it was Suzaku's will, no da.

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Okay, I'm writing a REAL letter this time. XD

So, how are you guys? And how is CnA-san and her midterms and papers? I hope they went well because for the time being I AM SO BORED! *spots my MP3* Oooh... it's okay after all. *picks up MP3* Isn't it beautiful? Actually, I got it a long time ago, but just today, I downloaded five new songs, four of which were FY's. So, yeah... *tries to convert one song* Okay, now I am annoyed... at this thing... see you guys later! *tries to fix music*

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

We are fine. Chichiri no Aijin has gotten through her midterms and papers and has survived. Next up is finals. @_@;;;

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Tasuki,

Hai! Genrou-sama! *salutes and heads down the mountain towards the city*

Suiren

Dear Suiren,

*Marches behind her.*

Tasuki

Dear Hotohori,

N-Not Available? How can it be? oh... I forgot. Now I know. I was editting my profile and left it logged on... I simply forgot it to log off. Can u... try it again?

Akane

Dear Akane,

I was able to see them this time.

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

*smiles* I am so happy. I had a dream-slash-premonition just this morning that you guys were answering letters again... and here you are now. ^_^ *hugs*

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

*They all smile.* Glad we could make your day!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Chichiri,

-sighs- Happiness was short lived. Her mother told her it was all an act to catch her doing something out of line.. My mom, however, was nice enough to buy me Sweeney Todd, which has developed into my latest obsession. It's the one musical I actually like. .____. However, I need to ask my mom if Hime can come over for the summer... I'm still terrified to ask.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

I'm sorry to hear that, no da. Does your mother know how you feel about Hime? Have you talked to her yet? As for Hime, have you actually met her yet or is this an internet relationship?

Chichiri

Dear Hotohori,

I forgot to mention this: On my graduation (or some other days), Mitsumi's been acting like we're back on being friends (Yay! That's good news to me) but :( we only talk a little like... a quick conversation, I think. Please tell minna that the age on my friendster is wrong (in there, it's written 16) and I can't change it because, the age 12 (I'm 12!) isn't allowed to use friendster... I don't know how to explain it in english... *sweat drop* Gomen. BTW, do you enjoy the gifts? *gives a box of chocolate* For you! If you like...

Akane

P.S This is late but Arigato SuzakuAngel for explaining them about FLAMES :)

Dear Akane,

It's because you are considered too young to be using a social networking site so there is an age restriction. Just be careful since you lied aout your age that you don't give anyone any information about youself. There are a lot of predators out there looking for 16 year old girls and younger to prey on.

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Yay! I've finally got something to do over the summer: taekwondo lessons, just like Shirayuki-san. And with my mom as one of my classmates, no less! Our instructor is even someone friends with someone else we know.

Hopefully, Shirayuki-san and I become classmates too... although there's some amount of doubt in me because of our two scheds... oh well...

BAI-BAI! ^_^ Yay summer!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. Come to think of it, a minor like myself, who is barely a teenager, wants a summer job too... Hmm... wishful thinking!

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Good for you! Have fun!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

*grumbles* This is ridiculous... now, it's not that I don't love my siblings, but everytime they're here, I become a modern-day Cinderella! They always have me do stuff for them--last night, for instance, I was asked to open the door when the door was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER--and all because I'm the youngest? I have rights, too! I shouldn't turn on the television or fetch some oatmeal for them all the time! THIS SUCKS! D:<

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

It does, but that does sometimes seem to be our plight. Have you tried talkng to your parents about it?

Chiriko

Dear Tamahome,

Do you remember almost a year ago, when I was asking you for help about how to break the ice to Mom about attending the anime convention? Well, I DID IT! She came with me to meet my cousin at an anime convention yesterday, and found the people's readiness and willingless to go extreme lengths to cosplay anime characters REALLY fun! In fact, she found it so fun that this breakfast, she asked me which anime character she could dress up as at a cosplay! *leaps into the air; trips at the landing; stands up* Okay, ouch. XD I told her she could go as Mrs. Yuuki... my mom DOES kinda look like her, with the short brown hair going on.

With the short brown hair of hers... any idea of who else she can portray in a cosplay? Remember, she's above... well, let's just say that proverbally, she's 4 years old--her life has just begun. Thank you!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. Yesterday, there was even someone who dressed up as Renaldo Lapuz, a fellow Filipino who auditioned for American Idol but didn't get in.... It was a riot when his impersonate appeared--everybody in the area was asking him to sing. XD If you don't know about him yet, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ae2lSvmTQM

Yay again!

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Funny video! I guess your mother could go as Mrs. Yuuki or any other mom from an anime. I really don't have a specific one in mind. Go you for having such a cool mom!

Tamahome

Dear Tamahome,

Oh, BTW, I will grant your fanart wish once I finish my self-study of art this summer... Muahahahaha... XD

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

*Looks confused* I had a fanart wish?

Tamahome

Dear Hotohori,

Gomen, this is late but belated Happy Birthday! *smiles shyly*

Charlie

Dear Charlie,

Arigato!

Hotohori

Dear Chichiri,

Okay, I know this is letter two, but this is... Just wow. Both my mom and Hime's mom changed! Her mom is stepping up and treating her better! She's taking her to the mall today, and yesterday, hugged her and told her she loved her. And my mom took me out on a special trip just so I could get some extra food around here to eat. And she said she was mad at the neighbor's comment. I was carrying the groceries. (All the heavy bags, too. Plus some cases of sodas.) He said, "Is that all she can carry?" Now, I was tired, sick, and still in pain. Mom said she knew I had all the heavy stuff and what he said was out of line. Sadly, this is the nicest she's ever been, but still. ._____. I'm in shock! -flail- And she might be taking me to the mall today, or something of the sort.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

I'm glad to hear that both of your mothers are your treating both of you better, no da. I hope they continue to do so.

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

I have decided... to join the Art Contest in the Ozine Fesr '08.

Random People: Oh, no!

*sweatdrop* Anyway, I'll be joining the Ozine Fest '08's Art Contest. Sure, the left side of my brain is the predominant half, and I may get good drawings only by chance, but there's nothing to lose. When I read the guidelines for the Art Contest, just something inside me said... "You can do it."

Oh, well... wish me luck, everyone. *prays really hard*

SuzakuAngel

P.S. By the way, I will be releasing a fan fiction for "The Fairly OddParents: Fairly OddBaby" on Quizilla (under "miakayuuki1995"), so all FOP fans had better watch out for it! Here's a little preview of my fanfic (the first chapter of which is "Return of the... Raisins?"):

Wanda: *flies over to Poof, who is slumped on Timmy* My little angel! Are you all right?

Cosmo: *flies over beside Wanda* Since when was Timmy your little angel?

***

Jorgen: *sits at a breakfast table with milk, a bowl, and a box of cereals* Ahh, finally, I will get to eat Raisin Bland, with the All New and Improved Taste! *pours cereal into bowl* I wonder if there is a free toy...

((Whirlwind appears in Jorgen's cereal bowl and shoots through Jorgen's roof))

Jorgen: NO! My cereal! And my totally awesome free toy! *stomach churns* AAAHH! BURRITOS! *runs toward bathroom*

Watch out and have fun, everyone... my head is filled with cereal...

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Good luck with the art contest!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

*Looks around, sees no one, then enters meekly* A-Anou.. Hello, onii-sama..

Aww, he's sleeping... *looks at his face closely* Miaka-san's right. He does look sweet when he's sleeping..

*goes near bed, then whispers* I bought something from our shopping yesterday.. Here *hands him a royal blue silk robe* Happy birthday, onii-sama.. (though it's a bit late already, and he doesn't hear me at all) *bows, then leaves room with a smile on her face*

Sode no Shirayuki

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

*Cuddles robe as he turns over in his sleep and mumbles a thank you.*

Hotohori

Dear Hotohori,

Now I am confused on which highschool I'll go... @_@ I like Saint Columban 'cause it's beautiful and with many plants (I'm a nature lover) and same as National. My mother told me that I'll have summer classes on National because we can afford it than Saint Columba that costs P1,500.00. I am really confused now! *Looks at the time* Gotta go to school now for the signing of our clearance!

Akane

Dear Akane,

I guess you will need to visit each school and talk to the students and faculty there before you make up your mind.

Hotohori

Dear Tasuki,

We walkin' 'r shall I get the horses?

Suiren

Dear Suiren,

Walkin'. It ain't that far. 'Sides I don't beleieve in drinkin' an' drivin'. *Fanged grin*

Tasuki

Dear Hotohori,

*she pauses and blinks looking at the nearby calendar* O-O;;; *she turns to him and cuddles* Happy Birthday papa-chan!! *gives him another rose in his hair.*

Aishizu

Dear Aishizu,

*Smiles and sparkles* Arigato!

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

End of May into Early June sometime. I don't believe in specific dates because there's always going to be a few weeks around the specific date. But yup ^^ For once, I woke up in a very good mood ^^ *inner mind thinking* D*mn mood swings... ^^ I need to get ready for work so ttyl! But first, how've you all been?

Naomi

Dear Naomi,

We are all well. CnA has finished all of her midterms and papers. Take it easy and don't work too hard.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Happy Birthday, Hotohori *gives a gift* Well, inside there is a Tuxedo Costume! Can I join the party Akane is preparing?

Aileen

Dear Aileen,

Certainly! Arigato for the present!

Hotohori

Dear Tasuki,

Arigato for forgiving me! Let's it ice cream shall we? *smiles* *Sailor Venus appeares*

Sailor Venus *grabs Mokona and Tasuki*: Come on minna! Party's going to start!

Mokona *struggles*: But the Ice cream, Akane-sama bought!!!

Sailor Venus: ice cream can wait!

Mokona: But it will melt! Tasuki-kun! Help!!

Mokona and Venus

Dear Mokona and Venus,

Why don't we bring th' ice cream wit' us? I don't wanna listen to th' pork bun whine 'bout it.

Tasuki

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

All: Happy Birthday, Hotohori!

Akane *bringing the cake*: Blow the candles! This cake is made by Sailor Jupiter and I'm sure it's delicious!

Mokona: Happy Birthday, Hotohori-sama!

Akane: Here's some pictures! You can find them in the Akane's Gallery. Gomen, I didn't write there my real name *laughs nervously*

Sailor Jupiter: We brought gifts *shows a pile of girfts* These all came from all of us!

Sailor Scouts: Come on! Let's celebrate! Akane's graduated on her elementary level and it's also Hotohori's B-day!!

All: Let's Party!

Mokona: Call Houki, Boushin, Hikari and Miaka to join us!

Sailor Mini Moon: Belated Happy Birthday to both of you, Nuriko, Chiriko!

Sailor Moon: The food's ready! Come on! Let's celebrate!!

Friends

Dear Friends,

It says that your profile is not available. I suppose that is because we do not have a Friendster account. Arigato for the birthday wishes, gifts and party! Congratulations on graduating!

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Yay! *leaps into the air* I've uploaded my first video on YouTube... check it out!

This video is sort of a graduation gift to my classmates/FRIENDS (only), because sometimes there just are people who are my classmates, but not really my friends... we have one EACH YEAR!

So, anyway... I have two solo shots there: the first one was the fourth photo, where I was wearing shades (taken during our field trip... in the BUS, mind you); and the second solo shot was the one where I was posing by the table set for two... then look for me in any other picture with a face that looks like mine in it, I don't want to be too obvious to the rest of the world OR go into details...

Well, I GTG, I haven't had lunch yet... and THEN I'll have ice cream and play badminton! Whee!

Bai-bai... have a nice meal, whether you're eating or not... XD

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

You did a nice job with it. We're sure your classmates will like it.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

Happy Birthday, Hotohori-sama!

SuzakuAngel: We had to do this together... Raira-chan was grounded, but she really wanted to greet you so badly. I'm sure she'd do the same for me and profess my eternal love and passion for--

Rairakku: *sweatdrop*

SuzakuAngel: Well, I doubt I'll ever get grounded again, anyway...

Rairakku: Good. Save me the embarrassment. He's not MY bishie... I'd rather fawn over mine, which I am currently doing so LEAVE! *hugs Hotohori*

SuzakuAngel: >.> Fiiine... I'm leaving... anyway, Hotohori-sama, your gift, like the others' gifts, will come along with my Christmas present, so Happy Birthday, and best wishes to your family and Empire!

Rairakku: *still hugging Hotohori* o_O I thought you were leaving?

SuzakuAngel: Okay, I'm leaving... have a nice exchange of hugs... I'll go fawn over my bishie, then... *spots Tamahome; grabs butterfly net*

SuzakuAngel and Rairakku

Dear SuzakuAngel and Rairakku,

Arigato for your kind birthday wishes. So why were you grounded?

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Happy April Fools' Day. *throws a pie; misses; hits Nakago in the nose*

Wow, that was... a lot of letters. I didn't know I wrote that many in a span of two days... XD Since it IS summer here, I played a LOT of badminton today (and I hid Ate Joy's racquet as a prank... numerous times, but she's cool... when I pulled those, I didn't even REALIZE it was April Fools'...), and secretly, my body is aching... but right after breakfast tomorrow morning, I'm gonna play again... and then my godmother and I will be having peaches and vanilla ice cream. ^_^ And then there's this 6-day nature camp I really want to try out, it's near Taal Lake (a lake in which is the smallest Philippine volcano--and probably the smallest one in the world! I dunno, History's not my favorite subject... XD), and it would be nice to try something new...

As of this afternoon, I am writing the last page for chapter 4 of my FY "Beyond the Reach of Faith" fanfic, and I'm really proud of it... there's a blast from the past and a battle sequence, PLUS a little surprise for one of the world's favorite Suzaku Seishi.

Thank you so, so much for everything. Peace! =3

SuzakuAngel

P.S. And now... to Shirayuki-san: Um... "monobloc chairs" as in plastic chairs. We MIGHT be going to Hong Kong Disneyland as well next year (semi-yay?), but my brother and sister, both of whom are in college (with my sister now an OJT), have a really tricky schedule, so I'm not really sure when or if we even CAN go... And thank you for taking my "FY Elements" quiz... I mostly get either "Light" or "Love" that quiz. Congratulations about your brother graduating and for the academic awards again! I hate this, I lost my report card, we have to pay for another one, and I haven't even paid for my grad pic yet. Oh, this is a headache...

P.P.S. Yes, Tamahome, you and Miaka DO have an official Website... okay, so it's not authorized and it's a fansite, but it's so... you and Miaka. This is the link: www.miakaandtamahome.com

P.P.P.S. Well, Hotohori-sama, let's just wait and see if Rairakku a.k.a. Mariel includes a hug in her birthday letter to you... and Advanced Happy Birthday!

Dear SuzakuAngel,

You're very welcome! Happy belated April Fool's Day and thank you for the pie! *They all grin.*

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

I just wanna follow up two things, since my last letter was to cramped with postscripts already...

1.) Good job and congrats (I guess... O_o) on joining the affiliate program! Hope all works out well and stuff...

2.) To Shirayuki-san: Please DON'T read the "Beyond the Reach of Faith" fanfic on Quizilla... it's tacky and peppered with these speeches on how love and hope will triumph in the end... But it's getting more realistic as the series progresses, I'll alert you on that... Good for you for getting Chiriko, by the way, my buddy Mariel also got him. ^_^

That's about it, then. Baii!

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Arigato! We hope it works out well, too. Basically if someone clicks on the link and buys something from CDJapan, Chichiri no Aijin gets points added to her account and can use those points to buy things from CDJapan. She hopes it will keep her Kinki Kids cd habit from getting too expensive...

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Chichiri,

Thank you! I know there's a LOT of room for improvement. -randomly pokes at a MV in the works- I'm running out of ideas for Samurai Warriors, which means I need to find clips from a different game or anime. I was looking for Beyblade clips yesterday and, unsurprisingly, I couldn't find ANY. >_>; Maybe I'll have better luck for Xenosaga. .______.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

I'm sure you will find things for Xenosaga, no da. Gnabatte kudasai!

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Today we got our report cards (for us to keep -or destroy- forever and ever!! Mwahaha XD) and I was surprised to see my mom and little sis at the gate (My brother and I went to school alone.) Turns out we're headed to a travel agency to renew our passports for a possible trip to Hong Kong! Yay! I want to go to Hong Kong Disneyland! *dances*

But my mom said that we'll be renewing them (take note) just in case we really go, because passports take a long time of processing before they are released (at least, here, it is) and by the time they are, we'll already be in our taekwondo classes (ends mid-May), and after that, we take care of enrollment for school, and the last week of May is for wrapping books, buying school supplies, etcetera. Then opening of classes is on June 2. (Too bad.)

Well if we DO get to go, I'll try to write you once we get there, so look out for it (For now.)

Sode no Shirayuki

P.S. To SuzakuAngel-san => What do you mean about the 'monobloc chairs'? I didn't really understand that part of your last letter. BTW I found your 'FY Elements' in Quizilla, and I got Chiriko! (Hmm maybe I should make one, too. I like writing stories, and I've been looking for a place to post them- aside from fanfiction.net, that is.)

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

Hopefully you will get to go and have a wonderful time.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

Good Morning, Hotohori! I'm going to take a tour in the highschools with my mom today and Aileen wanna say "Advance Happy B-day".

Akane

Dear Akane,

Ohayo gozaimasu! Have fun! Arigato for your kind wishes.

Hotohori

Dear Tamahome,

Come to think of it... (well, not really, 'cause I just found out about it now... XD) vote for Miaka and yourself for Best-Looking Female and Best Fighter, respectively! Here's the link, just go and click on the page then look for your names...

That goes for everyone, too! Vote for Miaka, Tamahome, both of them, and EVERY OTHER FUSHIGI YUUGI CHARACTER! (That is, if you haven't voted yet... but every vote counts anyway, so GO!)

SuzakuAngel

P.S. Your name is listed in the FIRST page of the list of candidates for Best Fighter. Yay you!

P.P.S. I also checked out the "Best-Looking Male" list (although I couldn't vote there 'cause anonymous votes were unallowed for that list)... you were ahead of Tasuki on the list. And don't let Hotohori-sama know about the "Best-Looking Male" list... he's near the very bottom. This situation is going to be very ugly... (Sorry for the pun.)

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Interesting lists. I will check them all out later. Arigato! *Grins* Of course I'm ahead of Tasuki!

Tamahome

Dear Chichiri,

I miss you! I miss you! I miss you! *hugs him*

Aileen

Dear Aileen,

Ano... arigato, no da.

Chichiri

Dear Tasuki,

Mokona: I come in here in peace! Make peace! Can we forget about the past and be friends? *puppy eyes* Pretty please?

Akane*outside*: Mokona! Lunch is ready! I'll give you an ice cream if you apologized to 'him' now!

Mokona: Hai Akane-sama! Will you forgive me Tasuki-sama?

Akane and Mokona

Dear Akane and Mokona,

Yeah, yeah, yer annoyin' but, sure I fergive ya'.

Tasuki

Dear Tamahome,

well, I didn't know that Narumi and Chitsumi we're best friends during in our 3rd Grade and when we're moving to our 4th grade, I became close with Chitsumi and always with her. Narumi thinks that I stole Chitsumi away from her. When we're in the 5th grade, Narumi took her revenge when we became seatmates *sweat drops* It's hard to translate into english, you know, since I'm used to speak Filipino or Visayan *clears her throat* She always fight and bully me with her friends. I kinda don't remember how long it was... In our 3rd Grading *we usually have 4 gradings in each grade* We became seat mates again and that time, I found what the problem is and decided to make friends with her. Her friends also became my friends and my friends became her friends also. No enemies now!! *smiles then frowns* I'm not sure on Mitsumi!!! *cries*

Akane

Dear Akane,

I'm glad you are all friends now. I don't know what to do about Mitsumi as she won't tell you what is wrong. Maybe one of your other friends can tell you.

Tamahome

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Yes! Recognition Day is finished! I'll send some pictures... *Thinks how she can do it* Using my friendster... And Arigato for the details and it's already finished, Nuriko! Arigato! I'll send when it's transfered in the computer... one day 2 go! *walks in her sandals for practice and falls over* I'm fine! *stands up and leaves* gotta pratice on wearing high heels!

Akane

Dear Akane,

We look forward to seeing them. Good luck on walking!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Tamahome,

Helloooo... I was just surfing you and your wife's official Website, and then I came across a message which said, "Vote for Miaka and Tamahome in the Best Anime Couple Contest"... or something along those lines, anyway. XD I voted, of course, for you and Miaka, of course, so.. *shakes you by the collar* vote for yourself, PLEASE, I'M PAYING YOU! *goes back to "Sweet Little Fangirl" mode* Thank you.

And to everyone else here too... PLEASE follow this link to vote for Miaka and Tamahome! Help their love WIN!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. ... so you HAVEN'T voted yet before you received this message, right? Oh, well... every vote counts... *like I promised, gives lots of platinum coins*

Dear SuzakuAngel,

*Looks confused* We have an official website? OK... Yes, I voted.

Tamahome

Dear Hotohori,

*smirks as she reads the exchange of letters* This hugging-thing is going to be so fun to watch... XD

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Is it? Why is that?

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Thank you. I know how old FY is, but I am still seeing a lot of merchandise, such as a 1000-piece puzzle, badges, posters, and sometimes even the manga--and I have to tell you, they're VERY difficult to find here. And, hey... I love FY, and as they say, "Love will find a way." ^_^

And, BTW... I just had my hair cut this Friday, and it SO rocks! I have cute little bangs now, something brought about by the classroom trend. (Thank you, Marvin!) Ah, well. Off to the convention! *prays for the best*

SuzakuAngel

P.S. To Shirayuki-san: Yes, it's the Ozine Fest '08 I'm attending, courtesy of my cousin Hikaru-chan. It's too bad you can't come, but it would've been nice to make a new friend. :3

Dear SuzakuAngel,

We're glad that you are still able to find merchandise as it is difficult to find in the States. Have a great time at the convention!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Chichiri,

Ah, well, between the time I sent that and now, those two multiplied to be 12. .________. (Result of boredom and no desire to play sims or write.) But of course you can see them! ^^ The very first I ever made, Fatal Fight.

Bittersweet.

Hoshi No Suna.

Wish You Were here. (I personally think I messed this one up horribly.)

Dreams of an Absolution.

Nine Spiral.

For Oichi.

Revolution Warriors.

Going Under.

Falling Warriors.

Last Words Tribute.

Farewell, Magoichi.

^^ I think my best is Fatal Fight, so far.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

I watched some of them. Nicely done, no da!

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Moodier than h*ll to be quite honest. For heavens sake, I can't even put on my own socks and shoes -_- Other than that though I've been doing fine.

Went and visited with Taki and them a while ago and they're doing alright. Taki's only been in the hospital once for something rather minor and Kaori's been at school and is working part time so she's busy nowadays. Let's see, anything else... Not really. So I'll leave it at that and return the question. How've you all been?

Naomi

Dear Naomi,

We're glad to hear that you all are well. So, when is the baby due?

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

*Her smile grows even wider as she hugs him*

Yay for my sparkly papa!!

*sticks a rose behind his ear*

There now your even more sparkly!!

*she looks outside to see the guards getting the horses out, Houki outside in her common cloths waiting. She then looks over to her papa*

Papa.. your not going in these imperial robes are you? o.o;

Aishizu

Dear Aishizu,

*Looks at Houki and then at himself.* You're right. Excuse me while I change into something more appropriate.

Hotohori

Dear Tasuki,

OKAY kashira-sama!

Suiren

Dear Suiren,

*Grins* Let's get goin'!

Tasuki

Dear Hotohori,

Arigato onii-sama! *hugz*

Well, about the taekwondo classes, I actually decided to enroll for the second batch (first batch started last Monday), although it starts around mid-April, so that means I have several weeks of free time before that. And I decided to take this one-day adult cooking course on dimsum. It must have been the FY in me, because I became addicted to dimsum almost the same time I started watching FY. Maybe Miaka-san's food-loving nature had rubbed off on me in a way... Hmm..

Sode no Shirayuki

P.S. To SuzakuAngel-san => Just asking, but the convention you're going to on April 5-6, could it be the Ozine fest '08? I remember reading about it in one of the recent issues of Otakuzine. (I love that magazine! And I've always wanted to go to those events, but I'm always busy here; besides my mom won't ever permit me to go. Not in a million years, at least.)

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

*Smiles* You're welcome. I hope you enjoy your cooking course as well as the taekwondo course.

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Happy Earth Hour, guys! (whatever the time is.) Aaand, btw, about the psychology matter, I do have a book about it, and it's written especially for kids. So, yeah...

Buh-baii!

Oh, btw... congratulations not only to the little brother, but to big sister Shirayuki-san too for the academic awards! ^_^

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Arigato and Happy Earth Hour to you, too!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

Hi! I turned 12 last Thursday, March 27. I am Mariel, SuzakuAngel's friend. Thank you for the message and the hug... Here's a thank you hug *hugs Hotohori* I got to go now. Bye and take care!!!

Rairakku

Dear Rairakku,

*Smiles and hugs her back.* You are very welcome.

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Thank you so much foreverything, especially the advice... but then again, since I'm still presented with the same problem as with the cosplay, I'll just observe and then join next year... a.k.a. the year when I start to actually get allowance because I will have by then turned 13... I think. XD But I could use the allowance for support for the contest, ne?

For now I will just fly (on a monobloc chair... lemme explain later XD) into the place and eat all the FY stuff up... none will survive I, SuzakuAngel, the Shopper, whose shopping habits may be worse due to the fact that Filipinos LOVE to shop... even during Holy Week, I can tell ya.

Soo... anyway... to Shirayuki-san: That must've been a really tough time when you had to watch it... and I'm not an emotional person either, so, yeah... But please give my congratulatory message to your bro, who, by any small chance could have been my classmate. Salamat po. ^_^ Did the students have to support the monobloc chairs, btw? Because that's where the flying one comes in... We were told that the monobloc chairs from last year were stolen, and what suddenly popped into my mind was a monobloc chair with birds' wings and a steering wheel... random. O_O

That just about ends my letter for now... bye!

SuzakuAngel

P.S. I am learning to cook as well... and I remember that I haven't returned the favor yet, Tamahome... I shall cook again. Sometime...

Dear SuzakuAngel,

We look forward to your cooking. Good luck finding any of our merchandise! You need to remember that our anime is over 10 years old. It started as a manga in 1992 and became an anime in 1995. It was brought to America by Viz in 1999. So there may not be anything for you to buy as anime dealers tend to carry things from current releases.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

hi again, minna! I'm sorry that I'm a bit late for the birthdays of two awersome seishi, but when I came here on March 10th, the site was down, and I was housing a guest by the 19th, gomen nasai! Happy belated birthdays, Nuri-chan and Chiriko-zan!! *hugs you both* I'm going out of town for a few days to visit my family, but I'll be back in town by the third! Happy early birthday, Hotohori-sama!! *bows respectively* Talk to you guys soon! <333

Ayako-chan

Dear Ayako-chan,

Arigato for the birthday wishes! Have a safe and fun trip!

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Chichiri,

Heheh, I just discovered the joys of Windows Movie Maker. And have about four-five videos. Two of which on Youtube. Both from Samurai Warriors. The one I love the most is actually the first I ever made.

Kaguya-Hime

Dear Kaguya-Hime,

Do we get to see them, no da?

Chichiri

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd stop by and say "hi" seeing I haven't in months ^^

Naomi

Dear Naomi,

Hi and welcome back! How have you been?

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Hotohori,

Yay!!

*does that little hooray moment with her arms and gets out a few special roses shes gathered then stops dead in her tracks and giggles, after that she walks over to him and stares at him*

Papa-chan is so beautiful!

*giggles waiting for his reaction*

Aishizu

Dear Aishizu,

*Smiles and sparkles*

Hotohori

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Chichiri no Aijin --

Thank you for the advice ^_^

I was actually treated quite well in Japan (at times, even better than I'm even treated in my home country). I accidentally left this out of the last message, but it was actually Korea, not Japan, where I was building up experience to try to get a job in Japan and was abused for five months. I was in the tough part of Korea, and they have such a hang-up about weight there that I was called fat and ugly pretty much on a daily basis. I went to Japan afterwards using the teaching experience I gained in Korea and didn't have any problem at all with the people there. (After all, I wouldn't want to go back to Japan if I were abused there. ^_^)

Basically, the story was that I had been contacted by a recruiting agency I hooked up with while I was in Japan a year before, and they said they had a job in Korea. I had never been there, and I thought that if I liked it there, I could stay, and if not, I would have more teaching experience to go to Japan. Well, I ended up going over there, and even though I did like it for awhile, I was let go from my first job there due to money problems the company was having, so I ended up getting a different job in a region that I didn't know was infamous for being a rough area of Korea. That's where the abuse really started to go full-force -- and that's when I knew I wanted to get out of there! So, I ended up getting a job in Japan, but it turned out that the company had hired someone else before and forgot about him since he was currently in the process of switching jobs. So, I quit my thankless, abusive job in Korea to go to Japan. Unfortunately, I found out about their mix-up after I got there and was left to search for another job. Fortunately, the people there were nice to me. Unfortunately, the job market was not. Every employer asked me if I was an employee of NOVA, since they knew that the NOVA employees were jobless and had valid work visas, so naturally they would have the first pick (and I don't see why not, since they were screwed over big time as well). After a month and a half, I no longer had any money left, so I had to return, having been unsuccessful when it comes to finding a job. Hopefully someday, there will actually be room in the Japanese job market for me ...

I actually have been using Skype for quite awhile; I have been making quite a few friends as well. I was wondering, though, how I would find people who speak Japanese using Skype. I'm a bit shy, so I am a bit worried about how I would make the first move with someone chosen completely at random ... what sorts of things could I do to find people to talk to other than taking a shot in the dark?

Actually, I had been taking ESL teaching classes last year, but I never ended up finishing. If it'll give me a greater chance of scooping up one of the incredibly few jobs that are left for those without a pre-existing work visa, that sounds like a good idea. ^_^

Thank you for the advice ^_^

Ken'ichi

Dear Ken'ichi,

You're very welcome. I'm sorry that Korea was such a bad experience for you. In Skype, you can search for Skype users that are in "Skype me" mode. I did and set the language to Japanese. I came up with 12 people. These arde people who are in this mode because they want to talk to other people. I suggest you contact them by "Chat" and see if they are willing to talk to you so you can practice. As to what to talk to them about, talk about yourself and ask them to talk about themselves. I'd finish the ESL training. I don't know for a fact that it will help with getting a job with out a work visa, but it may make getting the work visa easier. Ganbatte kudasai!

Chichiri no Aijin

Dear Tasuki,

Yer the boss, it's yer call

Suiren

Dear Suiren,

I dunno... how 'bout we go somewhere in Konan an' drink?

Tasuki

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

It's been awhile ... and a lot has happened. Unfortunately, it's left me a complete wreck. I spent five months of my life being insulted literally every day because of my humongous, enormous gut and otherwise being treated like complete garbage, enduring all kinds of insults and being treated in a subhuman manner all in the hope that the experience would land me a job in Japan. I was offered one, finally, but then they realised that they hired me by mistake when the position had been filled -- and at the same time, NOVA collapsed, leaving no jobs remaining for those without a valid working visa. All that cr*p that I took, all the torture I endured, and all I have to show for it is a huge debt and a dead dream. Thanks to NOVA, there aren't even any jobs left for people without valid working visas (I found that out the hard way during the following two months), so Japan is now unfortunately out of the question. I know no one who can speak Japanese, and so I can't even practise Japanese (especially speaking), so it's been slipping horribly, and I fear that by the end of 2008 I'll know next to no Japanese due to lack of use. If I don't do something about it, even if by some fluke of nature I get to go back to Japan, it just won't be the same without being able to speak the language anymore; I'll lack the freedom I once had. However, given that there are no teaching jobs left that are going to people just breaking into the job market thanks to NOVA and that there are no non-teaching jobs in Japan for non-fluent speakers of Japanese (and I'm not gonna be able to become fluent with no one to talk to at all in Japanese -- and there are basically no Japanese speakers at all near where I live), I'm not holding my breath for Japan. Even if American companies send people to Japan, I'd be staking any chance of that ever happening basically on chance, and given what happened the last time I did that, that somehow doesn't seem like a very hopeful option.

I at least have another path that could make me happy; this past year and a half, I have really gotten into voice acting. (In fact, I've been cast in a couple of Fushigi Yuugi projects -- once even as Tasuki. That one never finished production, but I got cast in it.) I might be able to do well enough to go pro someday. There's just one problem: I live about a thousand miles away from anywhere that has any voice acting jobs, and by the time I make enough money to move out there, my voice will have changed, and I'll sound like a kid trapped in a middle-aged man's body with a middle-aged man's voice trying but failing horribly at sounding tough; not much potential for roles there. (I'm 23 right now, and I easily sound young enough to voice teenage roles, but because of the overall voice type I have, if that were to deepen without sounding any rougher or edgier, it'd be useless for voice acting. Any of you know when male voices generally stop changing? I need to know whether or not I'm in a desperate situation here.) Not to mention that by the time I'm in my 40s, it's expected that I'll be blind; my eyesight has been deteriorating since I was a kid, and the doctors said tehy don't expect me to be able to see past my 40s. It'd be pretty hard to voice act if I can neither see the script to read it nor see the video monitor to match lip flaps. So much for that, too.

So, basically, therein lies the predicament. All of my dreams seem to be completely out of reach. I have no idea what to do, where to draw motivation to do my best. It seems like whenever I try my best, I get shafted by outside events. With my dreams out of reach and the few other things I have any interest in (music, sports and translating) are things I don't do well, it seems like the best I can do in life from here on out is just dead-end jobs that bore me and that I only do to make ends meet. It seems like I've just lost the spark, the excitement in life. I've tried adding activities, but even though those temporarily take my mind off of it, I still then have to go back to knowing that I came so close to achieving my dreams only to watch them collapse before my eyes, leaving my best case scenario being some lifeless situation, devoid of the excitement my life once had, pining for the exciting, happy life I once had. I cannot be happy with my life if it's devoid of the excitement it once had; after I worked so hard, ending up with a boring job in a boring situation that just can't hold a candle to what I once had. I'd be giving my all going towards my goal -- if there only was one left that was still possible to pursue! I can't just feign interest in stuff that in reality bores me; deep down I can't fool myself into thinking I like something I don't. Where can I even get the motivation to keep trying my hardest when there's nothing for me to even strive for anymore, and how could I possibly have any hope in the future when every path that's in any way related to my interests and, as a result, would get me a job that I'd actually enjoy going to (and would put back the spark in my life), is completely blocked by seemingly insurmountable obstacles? How could I even regain that spark in life when all that seems to be left is a dull, lifeless future, and the best part of my life is ALREADY over? (I'm pretty sure that a dull, boring everyday life can't top the exciting one I once had.) What can I do to achieve my dreams when every way towards any job that can give me more of a motivation than just necessity to get up in the morning and go to it seems to be permanently blocked?

Then there's the issue of my Japanese-speaking ability. I have been looking hard for someone to practise speaking conversational Japanese with. There's just one problem: I'm basically the only one in the area who knows any more Japanese than "domo arigato, Mr. Roboto," and I don't know of anyone on the Internet who has a voice chat program and would be willing to help me with that. I know there are resources for the written word, and I'm using those, but I can't be considered fluent if I can't speak, listen to and comprehend Japanese as a spoken language and carry on actual conversations in Japanese. In the past five months, I have had a grand total of two conversations in Japanese: one for a job interview (I think I failed that segment of the interview due to too low of a level of Japanese speaking ability), and one at an anime convention I went to earlier this year. At this rate, I expect to know almost no Japanese by New Year's 2009. It happened with German: after a mere 6 months of non-use, it was completely gone; I could not even form a sentence in German, and at this rate, that will soon happen to my Japanese skill, since I have not had a chance to use Japanese on a regular basis since October 2007, when I last lived there. How can I manage to reach the level I need to be -- or at least continue improving, instead of letting it deteriorate into nothing? I need to practise with someone, but I have found no one. Where do I find people who speak Japanese who I can talk to (I mean literally talk, like with my voice, not just text chat, which has been my only somewhat regular source of practise) while I'm here? My Japanese is fading fast, and I must find someone to talk to quickly, but there's no one in the area to talk to in Japanese ... what can I do to stop my Japanese speaking/conversation ability from disappearing? (Talking with myself, who can't check my grammar/usage, or with a pre-recorded track that also can't check my grammar/usage probably won't do it.)

I'm sure there's something I missed, but I'll send another one if I think of what that is. Thank you.

Ken'ichi

Dear Ken'ichi,

I'm sorry to hear that things just aren't turning out the way you hoped they would. However, there really does seem to be alot you can do to remedy your situation. We'll start with your physicality as you seem to find how you look distressing. A well balanced diet with lots of fruit, veggies, and whole grains along with daily exercise (you can walk around the block each day, it's free) is a good start to losing weight. Excercise will also lift your spirits and make you feel happier and less depressed. I'm surprised to hear you were treated so poorly in Japan! I have been there at least once a year since 2000 and was always treated well by strangers and shopkeepers, etc., and I'm no tiny fragile flower! I'm not huge but I'm certainly not Japanese sized!

As for losing the language, you're right that can happen. I also don't speak to anyone on a daily basis in nihngo, BUT I do make sure that I watch subtitled anime and doramas so I can still hear the language. I also litsen to a TON of J-POP! I haven't had a lesson since 2000, but I am still conversant. I've been told if I lived in Japan for a year I'd most likely be fluent. So, find things in Japanese you can listen to. Find music you like and sing along with it. You won't lose it that way.

If you install Skype you can talk to other Skype users from different countries FOR FREE through your PC using a microphone that you plug into your PC. I sometimes speak to my Japanese friend that way and have also made the acquaintance of someone from China who is trying to improve his English. I'm sure you will be able to find nihonjin to practice with as long as you let them practice their English.

Have you considered going back to school and getting an ESL teaching certificate? There is a school out here in SoCal called OSULA that is an ESL school. It also has Japanese classes. It's where I took Japanese for 5 years and met my Japanese friends while there were there learning English. A place like that sounds like it may be a good fit for you. But you would need to be a certified instructor first.

I hope these suggestions helped you. Good luck!

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Can I ask, big brothers? Has anyone watched 'The Vampire Princess Miyu'?

Baby Toby

Dear Baby Toby,

We watched it a long time ago. From what we remember it was a good series.

Suzaku Seishi

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

*sighs* I'm really interested in Psychology... I'm considering it for four years from now, which is a.k.a. college... XD Soo coool...

SuzakuAngel

Dear SuzakuAngel,

Chichiri no Aijin certainly enjoys the subject. If your school has a guidance or career counselor you should talk to them and have them point you in the right direction for classes you should take or at least some books you can read on the subject so you know what you are getting into.

Dear Tasuki,

Dear Hotohori,

I attended the recognition rites rehearsal yesterday, and guess what? I got first again in Chinese -and English-! Yay me! Watashi wa ureshii desu!

The actual ceremony is tomorrow, so I gotta wash myself up and get some sleep, but there's no point in sleeping in broad daylight since I don't feel sleepy at all so I decided to drop by instead and say konnichiwa to you, and the others as well, and- ah, I have to go for a while. My mom's calling me to help with the laundry, so see ya! *zooms off, with little clouds of smoke trailing behind her*

*After 30 minutes...* (No, honestly, I left the computer -and internet- running to help with the laundry.)

Okay, it's all done! I'm back! *sweatdrops*

So, anyways... aside from the ceremony tomorrow, which my little sister and I are attending, we will also be attending my brother's graduation ceremony on the 31st (Monday). He's also graduating from Grade 6 this year, and he'll be wearing a complete high school uniform by then... I can't believe it... I mean like, it just felt like yesterday when I first wore a high school uniform for our graduation ceremony, and now I look back and realized that it has been two years since then. In another two years, I'll probably be writing back, saying that I attended my own graduation ceremony, this time wearing a white toga and graduation hat (or is it a cap? Someone correct me plz..) and crying my heart out to my classmates (though that's most likely not to happen, since almost half of them gave me a headache with all those useless group projects and roleplays we've been having since first year.).. Jinsei wa hounto ni fushigi ne... (Correct? I hope so...XD) Two years ago, graduation was something I was most especially looking forward to, but two years later it is something that I'm kinda afraid of -and something that I hope will never come-... I don't know anymore.. Is it just me, or is something really wrong with me, because this SO isn't like me...

*dries tears* Well no matter what, it's still two years away, so I'll have a lot of time to think about it. It doesn't have to be now, so I don't need to worry about it. Meanwhile, I gotta think of how to make this summer vacation worthwhile, and I have two months to kill for that! Maybe I should take taekwondo lessons, or something like that, and maybe cooking as well! I certainly cannot lose to Miaka-san! *glares at Tamahome* And.. that includes you as well, Mr. Sukunami. I'm up to this challenge- ganbatte, watashi!

And thus I conclude my letter. But you can react on this if you want. *look below*

To SuzakuAngel-san => Looks like we both share the same sentiments on that movie :) But let me share about what happened last Black Saturday (Trust me, it's a lot worse). Well, we entered the room where they will have the film showing, and my friends and I sat at the very back of the room. I purposely chose a seat behind a post so I have something I can hide behind during the bad parts, but we ended up sitting up front, courtesy of our youth director, who even sat at the end near the door so none of us will leave. So the film began and we watched, and when they got to the part when the soldiers were about to whip Jesus, my classmate, her sister and I were already cowering behind the vacant seats in front of us, and we were whispering to each other on how we can get out of the room, since we couldn't take it anymore, having watched it only recently at school where many of my girl classmates ended up sniffling (in my case, almost deaf for covering my ears for a long time). I even took the large candy jar placed in the center of the room and began stuffing myself with guava candy to keep myself occupied with the taste. At the part when they almost reached Calvary, my two friends and I decided to make a mad dash for it and leave the room. (Sounds really pathetic, but it was now or never. Either we leave that instant or we faint and end up in the infirmary.) So the three of us ended up leaving, but the sound effects were still too much even though we were already outside, so we tried not to look in the direction of the room and turned backwards. Our parish priest even saw us in that state! (Yikes!!) It was after the film when I returned to the room to pick up my brother, who surprisingly wasn't affected at all.

Well, yeah, that's how pathetic I am. I'm not exaggerating, really. Anyways, congratulations on graduating!

Sode no Shirayuki

Dear Sode no Shirayuki,

Congratulations on getting first! I'm very proud of you! The way you feel about graduation is normal, everyone goes through it to some degree. And yes life is really mysterious. *Smiles*

Dear Mitsukake,

how do u heal people?

Nakago

Dear Nakago,

Very well, thank you.

Mitsukake

Dear Suzaku Seishi,

Ummm, yeah... so... good evening!

I'm finally going to an anime convention on April 5 and 6! Soo, like the problem I had last year, I have no clothes to wear as Miaka. (Tamahome, remember that?) So now, I decided to join the "Re-Enact an Anime Scene" contest... but this is my first time, so, yeah, I'm rather clueless. What should I do, bring, etc.?

Thanks for all the help. ^_^

SuzakuAngel

P.S. Meet my cousin, Hikaru-chan! We haven't seen each other in a long time, and she's actually the one who introduced me to the English language. She's also watched FY, y'know!

Hikaru-chan: Koya and Amiboshi and Nuriko are luff and... Nuriko and Hotohori should get married XD

*sweatdrop* Yeah... bye!

P.S. It's Mariel's birthday tomorrow! She's twelve! Yay! ^_^ Heika-san... you promised... well, not exactly, but anyway...

Dear SuzakuAngel,

We hope you have a great time there! As for the contest, you need to figure out which anime you want to re-enact a s scene from, make a costume for it and rehearse what it is you want to do. Good luck!

Hello Hikaru-chan. Welcome to our humble cyber abode.

Suzaku Seishi
