I;m not doing too badly myself. A lot of stuff's been going on with my freinds lately, but nothing to me directly.

I found out my town is lookign for two student to go on exchange to Japan for a year from any of the high schools. I want to go, but it'd cost $2500 Canadian, I'd have to pay for it myself (jobless), and my parents say it'd be really difficult to take a foreign exchange student in our house, it's kinda packed as it is. So, it looks like I have a very slim chance of even being able to apply.

But I think I'm actually going to pass math, so all is well!

I won a ribbon at anime norht this year for my costume! best use of duct tape and garbage bags (made my costume out of them and newspaper). *grins* I was Cardcaptor Sakura.

Nope, I don't know Meiwaru at all, and hadn't even heard of her before. o_O I don't mind ti so much now, I'm much more calm about it after Amy and Andreas talked me through it. (Or rather, I talked Amy through it! o.o)

I'm sure it will be difficult to write. I've got the gist of it down, and I know what path the story will take. I finally flushed Nice!Shiro out of my mind, as he's not really all that nice in the actual thing. And I find writing the whole Shiro-cult insanely fun. I have no clue why, it's just entertaining. ^_^ I'm running into this horrible problem of pulling names out of my hat, though. I need to go look up what they mean. (No need to post a link, by the way.)

Also, I don't know why, but my website's popularity just shot up after the pants-stealing letter. It was pretty cool, actually. ^_^ And it's fun. :D I wish I could replay FFX, but my CD has been scratched and therefore no longer works! :o

Okay my friend and I watched "ghetto" Eikou den and it was really messed up. The subtitles were all messed up like...Tamahome was Tamahomei and thats as close as it came to being normal. They called Yui Taka twice and they liked to say "wow" and "god" an awful lot. The the statue said "I will eat you now" to Mayo and we sware Nakago is really hiding under the statue and lighting it up with fireflys with a voice modifier. But anyway....just thought we'd share with you. Come drink sake with us sometime. ^^

I really think that everyone needs to stop bashing Miaka. This whole thing has kinda gotten a little outta hand. I mean Miaka is only a character made up by Watase Yuu,just like the rest of her characters. Watase Yuu,I'm sure had every intentions of making Miaka look like a clutz,or a spaz,and eat too much to fit the character and the story line. A long time ago,someone wrote in saying how Miaka only cares about herself,and is very selfish and does things that get's people annoyed with her. Well; that maybe true about her getting some people annoyed with her,but her being selfish and what not,that's not true at all. Now Miaka isn't my favorite character cause yes she can get annoy at times *sees Tamahome getting red in the face o_o;;*,but that does NOT make her a bad person. She is very kind and you can see that through out the whole adventure she's on. Of course when Fushigi Yuugi starts out she's the annoying,spazzy type but she grows out of the spazzy type but still the annoyance in her remains. Some things you just can't grow out of. It's a well known fact! Anyways; I'm not saying that everyone should like Miaka and live a merry life,I'm just simply stating that people need to back off Miaka,she's only a made up character in a fiction anime/manga!! Yea so what if Japanese females don't act like that,it's all made up! Here's something for you to think about...if we all liked Miaka wouldn't the world be really boring? Different people,have different tastes,it's not like we can complain and write a letter to Watase Yuu and tell her don't make up anymore characters like Miaka,why? simply put "IT'S ALL MADE UP" *shakes head*. Honestly,I think people takes these things a bit too far.

Now onto the Nakago subject (I just read this)-- I've listened to Nakago's "Blue Eyes Blue" before,and quite frankly,it's not that bad, a little slow,and a little low for my taste,but that's just me. It is kinda painful to listen too,but noone's forcin ya to listen to it. So :P *sticks tongue out at people*

Also as for the hana yori dango question...I read what CNA-chan said about it,but you're leaving out one critical thing! ^___^;; unless you don't know about this,or have seen it...Hana Yori Dango was made into a tv show featuring "F4" and the show title is called "Meteor Garden". It's really good,and it fits the storyline of "Hana Yori Dango" pretty well,but they made a second season of Meteor Garden to continue the manga,but the 2nd season sucks (or so I've heard?). Anyways; I should probably stop chattering and let other people write some letters. Sorry for the long letter CNA-chan!

Hello, Mitsukake. ^_^ Things have improved since last time. I'm starting to write Narcissism now, which is good as I'm actually starting it and not letting it rot in my mind. It's my frist story in which I will try to capture psycological disorders and display them in a human light. When people think depressed or narcissist, a lot of them think one sided. Narcissism: self-love. People think the person is just too arrogant and ego-filled to be able to care about anyone. I am CERTAIN I can make Shiro a good narcissist, and not just some guy that loves himself. I researched and found out that narcissism isn't really self-love; it's more of a display of low self-esteem, as the person makes an image of themselves that they want to be seen. It's really interesting.

That's all I really meant to say to you. That, and I'd like to address Meiwaru's comments. I didn't mind it the first time, in truth, I laughed it off with Amy and then we watched X-Men. However, when you tell me I served no purpose and that I was a waste of space and oxygen, I got mad. NOBODY should EVER be told they serve no purpose, because EVERYONE does. You say you mean no offense, but truly, when you say something as mean-spitied as that, do you mean it? I doubt it, really. I know I'm not a waste. I have friends, I write, I do well in school.. But when you say something like that, I'm going to take offense, and it's going to hurt my feelings.

Yes, I realized you didn’t want a flame war. I read it; this is not a flame. Don’t post this if you wish, it just seems that the other side of the Miaka: love-hate debate should be known (without people just /screaming/ that they hate her). No, I’m not going to harass people for having an *opinion.* I just think it’s fair. I may not hate Miaka, I may despise her my entire being. The fact remains the same: it’s my opinion.:)

Anyway, onto the beef. I actually did my research, having seen FY a year or two ago and needing to refresh my memory. I came across one of the best reasons why Miaka is hated, and it holds up pretty nicely: She's a typical shoujo fantasy vessel designed to play out the average fifteen-year-old Japanese schoolgirl's fantasies. Her faults (say, oh, eating a bit too much, being a tad clumsy) are overdone in order to try and give her a sliver of character. In my opinion, it just adds to her lack of depth and development as the star of the series. She’s simply the heroine: a shell of a girl given half of a personality (no offense to the author I /do/ like a lot of her characters) in order to sell. She was made to relate to a lot of females who wanted exactly what she got: seven men and a fantasy world.

To less idealistic people... well, she’s an undeserving character that only exists to wear on everyone’s nerves. And honestly, you can cut the air with a knife, it’s so thick with hormones, people are *jealous.* You can’t blame people for wanting what Miaka has, can you? ;) To people who can’t relate to her, mainly American fans, they just can’t see /why/ someone like her could end up with so much.

I was looking through the responses and found something interesting regarding Nakago's singing...

Maybe he sings horribly because he's evil? Now, with all due respect, that makes absolutely no sense. I know you all have a very deep grudge against Nakago, but surely you could find better things to attack than his voice. According to this logic, Suboshi's singing is worse than Amiboshi's and they have the same voice.

Whether or not Nakago's voice is pretty or painful is a matter of opinion. (I'm listening to one of his songs at the moment to make sure I'm not defending something in vain.) Personally, I like Nakago's voice; I have a thing for deep voices. Like the voice of a certain lovely emperor for example.

However, having a nice voice is only a piece of the puzzle in good singing. A lot of it has to do with how the singer performs and the mood of the piece. There are plenty of famous singers who don't exactly have golden voices and are still very popular. Think of almost any rock band's lead singer. Serj Tankian, lead singer in System of a Down, most definately does not have a voice anybody could call pretty; however, the feeling he puts into his singing more than makes up for it, and it fits the mood of the music System of a Down does.

"Blue Eyes, Blue" is an awful song, but that really does not have anything to do with Nakago. It's not his fault that whoever wrote the music was inspired by something overheard in an elevator. For what he had to work with, Nakago sang that song and he sang it very well. His other song, "Houkou", which I really like, I believe was beautifully done. In either case, Nakago's singing stayed constant with the mood of the song and he delivered the message of the music.

Whether or not one likes Nakago's voice, he still kept up with all the other parts of a good performance, and for that, I think he's a good singer.

That's my two cents. I'm done now.

I have a question, and this time, it's actually not inane. (yes, I know, cue massive collective shocked gasp.) See, I have these two friends, let's call them Kitty and Pocky Girl. They get into a lot of fights, but not really serious ones, just over silly things, like debates from class, and stuff like what's good etequitte and sanitation. But recently, they've been getting really serious about it. Okay. Enter 'D.D.' She was a mutual friend of P.G. and Kitty until just recently, when the fighting began. Here's where it begins.

P.G. and D.D. get in a fight, Byakko, they get in so many, I don't remember what this one was about. P.G. up and storms away from the table. She comes back later, only to find out that D.D. is in the bathroom crying. Nobody gets up, so another player, who is in the center of it all, (knows both sides, head spinning from it) goes to talk to D.D., and is blown off. Okay. D.D., from that point on, avoids, Pocky Girl, now hanging out more with Kitty and another mutual friend. Pocky Girl gets mad at Kitty, because she thinks Kitty doesn't want to be her friend anymore. So, she begins to claim that Kitty doesn't like her, by exclaiming things, like the following, taken from an actual conversation.

She also claims that 'Kitty' uninvited her from a movie-making party.

It's the exact conversation. Just names have been changed. And so, in addition, she is claiming that Kitty has said some unkind things about me. Byakko, it never ends. I have spoken with Kitty, and she says that she's not trying to do anything to upset Pocky Girl, and she got really stressed when Pocky Girl got upset and started to ignore her. I have suggested all sorts of solutions, and ways to resolve, but it's just to no avail! And this has been going on for almost a month, although Pocky Girl says it's been half a year. Please, help me, Chichiri-sama! I really don't know what to do, and I'm running out of ideas and patience. And I just need some help. Sorry if this exceeded the letter length allowed. She's been going at me for some time, and I want to ask you whether I should just humor her once and see where it goes or keep on resisting. Because frankly I see nothing wrong with either my face or my eyebrows. I know that's just my opinion and you can't tell by a letter what you could think, but I'd really appreciate a suggestion.

But moving on, I just want to say you are absolutely AWESOME! Though it's really strange; I've noticed that while a ton of people accept you in the anime, but still don't accept people in real life. People, STOP with the "whining Miko" business. Wow, you don't like her. I think everyone's NOTICED that! Look, I'm not trying to be mean about it, but come on! How would you feel if you were disliked by a bunch of people just because you're the main character who would act just like any other girl who was in that situation?

Honestly. Don't tell me you wouldn't freak out. Don't tell me you wouldn't make selfish wishes. People call Miaka selfish? Heck, I'd wish to be able to fly by myself (or some other special power), I'd wanna get all the manga in the world for free, and I'd probably wish I could go and take anyone I wanted with me to other worlds. Yeah, compared to me Miaka's pretty darn caring, don't you think?

And as for her 'quirk' with eating a lot? What's wrong with that? Look at DBZ for crying out loud! They'd beat Miaka hands down in the eating department. Besides, characters are SUPPOSED to have quirks or flaws.
