Right now, everything is very depressing, and these depressing feelings are getting to me. Considering all the stuff happening in our country, I wish I could get the h**l off this planet and never return. But for now, I have to settle for pondering whether or not to get very drunk. Will we be going to war? Will our economy tank even more than it has? What kind of insanity is waiting for us in our country and around the world? All this terrible uncertainty being talked about on the news and is just making me wish my head would just explode. But that would leave an awful mess, wouldn't it?

*stares at the glass on the table* The mind is an extremely scary entity. It blows up some pretty nasty scenarios and turns us all into a bunch of basket cases, or whatever. If you've ever seen "The Blair Witch Project," you know what I mean. That movie didn't need any wierd special effects or creepy beings wearing excessive stage makeup to be scary. Not to spoil any of it, but it was the level of paranoia and uncertainty about what was going to happen that the actors expressed that made the movie as scary as it was. Same stuff happening in our world today. More paranoia, more uncertainty, resulting in a whole lot of depression. I keep slogging through every single day thinking about how we've come undone, and wondering if there is any hope left for us. Can happiness be hoarded like bottles of whisky?

Well, I had to get out my feelings somehow. Thank you for listening to me. I'm sorry if I depressed you or anybody else. *Picks up the glass and sniffs the liquid* Whew! This stuff smells powerful, and since my nose is still stopped up from the cold I'm getting over, that's saying quite a bit. *sets glass down again* Well, Tasuki? Can you think of anything about this world that is still good? Anything at all? *stares at the liquid in the glass* Do you think this stuff is safe to drink?

Hey Aniki, I see you've been soaked a few times. Well, I have a spell that's cure that and it's called Water Repell. It repells water up to spell level 100. Even in a lake you wouldn't get wet. Also you'd have your own air bubble so you could breathe under water.

The spell won't wear off either. It's effective when you want it to be effective, and to get rid of Water Mage (that's right isn't it?)

I'm somewhat excited about Valentine's Day. I don't normally have anything to do with the holidays, but this particular one, perhaps because it involves hearts and flowers and pink, always gets me happy. The unfortunate thing is I never get Valentines anymore....alas, it's considered elementary, and that in itself is very disappointing. I suppose I really wish someone I don't know would send me something, maybe a secret admirer. I guess everyone (especially girls)think that way, though!

Hello, I am new to the anime world and I love FY! IT was one of the first anime's my frined Kerry got me hooked on. Since we started waching it she started calling me Miaka and she calls herself Yui. 'Lo again. Ano, the Japanese culture club at our school finally decided that it would be a good idea that it's members take a crack at learning Japanese. (--0) Ano, they were impressed that I knew what "koban wa" meant. I don't get to go that often any more, I just give manga art lessons pretty much every other friday, but all anyone ever does is sit and play Magic or Yu-Gi-oh. It's really pathetic. But it looks good on your resume when I go to work for an anime company or team or something.

Ano, the unspeakable has happened. I got a boyfriend. (dum dum dum) I finally got over my sexist self and stooped to the level of girls. (man I feel like a hypocrite^^0) He's a fellow goth that's not on crack (probably one of five at our school) It's kinda freaky though, all of sudden there's this guy that's following me everywhere, and I'm always worried how I should be acting around him. It's even more akward cause he's a very close friend and the ex-boyfriend of another friend. He started reading FY the other day, and now he's decided that he's gonna get a mowhawk and disapear into hats. ( he already has the blue hair.) I told him to go for it, and he glomped me saying I was the best girlfriend ever, right in the middle of the miday break. Everyone's talking "hey, didja know the witch and the goth boy are going out? How come I didn't see this coming?" The only thing is I can't decide if this is a good or bad thing... anywhoo, later aniki! I wanna practice my japanese on you sometime!

I really don't like to go on about how bad I've been feeling as of late because others surely are worse off, yet I need to tell someone, and you're my favourite, so... Well, up until exactly two weeks ago, I was entirely convinced I wanted to die. My life had deteriorated to simply waking up because I was compelled to. I had become somewhat of a foster-mother to my niece whilst her mother (my elder sister) pursued drugs and a career in stripping. Because of some bad trauma I endured three years ago, it was difficult for me to take care of a child. I ceased going places, and gave up on my goals of college and a part-time job. Our house was in constant uproar because of the child (who is severely emotionally unstable, due to her chaotic life with her mother) and my elder sister, who eventually was caught with possession of marijuana and cocaine. Between all the stress, the mental turmoil, and many other things I cannot descirbe at this time, existing had become synonymous with 'torture'. My usual emotional outlets were stinted because of my physical and emotional exhaustion. I couldn't draw, I couldn't write; I became very estranged to everything around me, like nothing was tangible, a feeling I thought had come to pass after all this time.

Fortunately, my niece is now living with her mother at my uncle's house, where we keep strict watch on her. She wasn't imprisoned because it was her first felony. The thing is, my sister treats her baby like she's nothing to her. It worries me, and we are all fearful of what might happen to the both of them.

I can't understand my sister. She deliberately looks for ways to hurt herself, things that might possibly kill her. I can't understand why, because I fought so hard, so hard to live.

I didn't really want to bring it up, but I feel like I need to...what happened to me was I was raped brutally at knifepoint. I was so sure, so sure that I was going to die; I felt something settling over me, this terrible feeling of unreality. But I struggled to live through it, and I did, even though my old self died that night. Then this monster who did this to me tried to have me killed as well, so I had to hide in my home for 5 months until the investigation was complete. He had planned to decapitate my entire family. This thing is in prison now, for a long time...I was fortunate for this, because many don't get that kind of retribution.

After all that happened, I wanted to start over. I wanted to be a 'new' person, all better. But since then, so many things have come to pass that have prevented me from ever getting a strong hold on that new happiness, that I was truly so despondent death seemed plausible. I was begining to wonder, if I had died instead, would it have caused my sister to turn her life around earlier?

My sister has something to live for: her baby, a beautiful little girl. She could have so much happiness, if only she could appreciate what she has! And all of us are behind her entirely, urging her to be a good mother and helping her with all she needs.

Things seem to look a little hopeful now, though there is always that worry. Tomorrow I'll be heading out for a job interview. I'm on a new medication now to help me sleep, because I'm very nervous. I hope things will be going uphill from now on. Sorry for spilling, I just don't have that many people to talk to anymore. I don't know why, but I can't stop trembling.
